Nominations for the OCBF Board of Directors

Consider becoming, or nominating, a candidate for the board of directors of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum. This process requires the completion of a nomination form (download the PDF or use the online form below).

A board member will have the opportunity to become involved in furthering the goals and objectives of the Forum, including: (a) enhancing the system of justice, particularly in the United States Bankruptcy Court; (b) providing access to the system of justice, particularly in the United States Bankruptcy Court; (c) assisting in the delivery of legal services to the community; (d) maintaining the honor and dignity of the judiciary and the legal profession; (e) promoting the ethical standards of professionals handling bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters; (f) advancing the benefits enjoyed by professionals working in the bankruptcy and insolvency-related fields; (g) encouraging cordial relations among professionals working in the bankruptcy and insolvency-related fields; (h) educating professionals working in the bankruptcy and insolvency-related fields; (i) informing the community about the system of justice and the legal profession; and (j) promoting the betterment of the community which the Forum serves.

Each board member serves a three year term. This year three seats are up for election. Members of the board generally meet in the evening of the second Tuesday of each month by Zoom. Attendance at these board meetings is mandatory.

While we encourage you to consider your candidacy or nomination, please understand that a board member serves an extremely important function, which must be addressed with serious commitment and conviction.
